TASHL is proud to support young artist Amy Mears with her solo exhibition. Our donation funded her Private View on April 23rd which was well attended and created a buzz at the Lightbox in Woking.

Amy is an artist who is 24 years old and lives in Guildford. She loves bold vibrant colour and is fascinated by nature and is also inspired by travels with her family.

Living with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and autism means seeing and experiencing the world in her own particular way. She says:
“While these challenges are a part of my life, art gives me a way to channel my ideas and express my perspective.”
Amy’s journey into the world of art began in 2019. She had left school and was at a crossroads struggling with her disabilities and her future. That changed when she joined Artventure Trust.

Based in Leatherhead, Artventure provides a safe space for adults with learning disabilities, to be creative in wide range of art forms.
Sessions are designed to develop self-expression and encourage a greater sense of self -worth. There are opportunities to participate in exhibitions and to involve and engage with people in the wider community.
TASHL ‘s support of Amy’s exhibition is one part of this year’s Community Arts programme
