The end of a successful TASHL year was celebrated by all with festive goodies on offer.
Paper hats off to the catering team who prepared a mini feast of tasty bites to go with our tea and coffee before our final talk.
Looking back over the year we have enjoyed a range of talks, carefully and imaginatively put together by Mel and Martha. We also welcomed our new Chairman Charlotte to steer us and keep us on track – good luck Charlotte!
On offer were no less than three excellent outings throughout the year plus an extra event for TASHL volunteers.
Community Arts encompassed both ends of the age range in Horsley.
Year three children at The Raleigh School enjoyed a bespoke workshop provided by “Magic Lantern” while residents at Lime Grove Care Home tapped their toes to a live jazz band.
Our November lecture was fascinating and fun. Andrew Prince, a TASHL favourite, entertained us with a romp through the ages in “bling”. No ordinary jewellery, but that of royals from the Egyptians through to the House of Windsor. The hall was full and the atmosphere was warm, despite the onset of winter.
We would like to thank all our members for their support and engagement in 2024 and we look forward to seeing you for our new programme of events in the New Year.
Merry Christmas to you all
